Sara Smith , NSRI St Francis Bay station commander, said:At 18h52, Thursday, 30th November, NSRI St Francis Bay duty crew activated to respond to 14 nautical miles from our sea rescue station to rendezvous with the Chokka fishing boat Michelle off-shore of Oyster Bay to patient evacuate a 36 year old Humansdorp fisherman with suspected Chicken Pox.The sea rescue craft Spirit of St Francis II was launched and on arrival on-scene the fisherman was transferred onto our sea rescue craft and he was brought to our sea rescue station without incident and he was taken into the care of Private Care paramedics and he has been transported to hospital by a Private Care ambulance in a stable condition.TO REPORT A SEA RESCUE EMERGENCY DIAL 112 FROM A CELLPHONE
