View from Arabella where river runs - Image: Trip AdvisorHERMANUS:Deon Langenhoven, NSRI Hermanus station commander, said:At 19h59, Thursday, 02 November, NSRI Hermanus duty crew were activated following reports from the SA Police Services of 5 persons on a rubber-duck adrift on the Fisherhaven Lagoon following motor battery failure.2 men, from Kleinmond, Nieuwoudtville and 3 women, 2 from Oudtshoorn and 1 from Durbanville, all aged in their early 20's, on a late afternoon cruise on a local rubber duck reported to be drifting towards Arabella.The sea rescue craft Jaytee III was launched at the Fisherhaven slip-way and on arrival on the scene just off-shore of Arabella we found them safe but concerned in a heavy thunderstorm.A towline was rigged and we towed them to the slip-way without incident where their boat was recovered and no further assistance was required.TO REPORT A SEA RESCUE EMERGENCY DIAL 112 FROM A CELLPHONE
