Friends, family, supporters and donors gathered today on a perfect sunny morning for the blessing of Station 4 Mykonos new 4.2m RIB (rigid inflatable boat) Jacqueline. The RIB is one of three new vessels sponsored by Western Cape Disaster Management.Below are some highlights. Rob Fine and Morné Dettmer (Mykonos crew) Dr Cleeve Robertson (CEO) welcomes all the guests From left: Casper Frylinck (Station Commander), Jacqueline Pandaram (Disaster Management), Dr Cleeve Robertson (CEO) and Liza Rossouw (Fundraiser: Government and Grants) Jacqueline does the honours: pouring champagne over her pontoons and naming her the 'Jacqueline'- “May God bless her and all who sail in her.” The 'Jacqueline' performs a boat display in the Mykonos harbour Guests treated to a ride on their 9m 'Spirit of Freemasonry'Thank you to everyone who came to share this special occasion with our Mykonos rescue base.
