Theo Erasmus, NSRI Witsand station commander, said:A boat sustained motor mechanical failure on the Breede River at the Withuis, about 10 nautical miles from the Witsand Port Beaufort NSRI Station.Two crew were on board the vessel, the skipper a 72 year old man visiting from Christiana in the North West Province, requested assistance from the NSRI at 17h45, Monday, 10th April.We launched our sea rescue craft Breede Rescuer and on arrival on the scene we found them safe and we towed the vessel to the Kraaltjie in Port Beaufort where NSRI assisted to recover their vessel and no further assistance was required.TO REPORT A SEA RESCUE EMERGENCY DIAL 112 FROM A CELLPHONE
