NSRI Yzerfontein Rotary Onwards_Picture: / Sea RescueWillem Lubbe, NSRI Yzerfontein station commander, said:At 13h38, Monday, 27th March, NSRI Yzerfontein duty crew were activated by the Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) following a request for assistance from the commercial fishing boat Major Dad, with 9 crew onboard, reporting motor mechanical failure off-shore of Dassen Island.Our Sea Rescue craft Rotary Onwards was launched and on arrival on the scene, in calm sea conditions, we took Major Dad under tow and she was towed to Yzerfontein harbour without incident and recovered and they required no further assistance.The operation was recovered at 18h15.TO REPORT A SEA RESCUE EMERGENCY DIAL 112 FROM A CELLPHONE
