Source: SafariNow - Kleinmond Lagoon Source: SafariNow - Kleinmond LagoonAt 19h17, on Sunday, 20th November, NSRI Hermanus duty crew were activated following a request for assistance from Overstrand Fire and Rescue Services reporting a man missing in Kleinmond Lagoon.NSRI rescue swimmers joined the SA Police Services, Overstrand Fire and Rescue Services and WC Government Health EMS searching for a 25 year old man from Grabouw who had reportedly gone missing under the water while swimming.It is believed that the man went missing while swimming in the Kleinmond Lagoon at around 18h00.The shoreline and water search operation included NSRI rescue swimmers and Fire and Rescue divers conducting free dive searches and a sweeping line search in the water in the vicinity of where the man went missing but despite an extensive search no sign of the missing man has been found.A Police dive unit will continue the search operation today, Monday, 21st November, and Police have opened an investigation.
