At 08h33 on Thursday the 28th of July, NSRI Simon's Town duty crew launched the Sea Rescue craft Spirit of Safmarine III to assist the 40 foot fishing trawler Irma, with 6 crew on board, caught up in fishing lines and with fishing ropes wrapped around their propellers off Cape Point.On arrival on the scene the vessel was found safe and at anchor, but with fouled props.NSRI Simon's Town took them under tow and they were towed to Kalk Bay harbour without incident.Once safely moored they required no further assistance.IMG-20160728-WA0000 Picture: Chavane Bristow/NSRITO REPORT A SEA RESCUE EMERGENCY DIAL 112 FROM A CELLPHONE
