We have just been sent this chilling series of photographs taken by Hielke Van Leeuwen, from the Head over Hills Retreat in Knysna. Sulani Schoeman (GM of Head over Hills) watched the incident unfold and called out the rescue crew that afternoon.

KNYSNA: At 15h35, Saturday, 30 April, NSRI Knysna duty crew responded aboard a sea rescue craft to The Needles in the Knysna Heads where the boat Galateia with 3 men onboard had capsized.All three men, one from Johannesburg and two, a father and his son, from Cape Town, were rescued from the water onto the sea rescue craft and brought to the sea rescue base. One man was transported to hospital by ER24 ambulance and later the remaining two were taken to hospital as a precaution by NSRI for observation for secondary drowning.NSRI Knysna recovered their boat from the water. All were released from hospital following medical treatment.
