There was much learned this morning when George Firefighter, Johan Troske, visited Station 23 Wilderness to present a firefighting course. The course included theory, and series of video footage to illustrate the dangers of and how to tackle different types of fire and related evacuation procedures. This was followed by practical applications, with every crew person getting a chance to put out a fire, using the various types of firefighting equipment.Wilderness - FireFighting Johan Troske, from George Fire Station, showing how to tackle a larger petrol fire, with a standard fire extinguisher, at Wilderness NSRI Station 23.
