Clifford Ireland, NSRI Durban station commander, said:At 17h25 on Monday the 25th of April, NSRI Durban duty crew were activated by the Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) following reports of a boat capsized in the Port of Durban.It is believed that the local ski boat The Tyre Guy, with 4 Durban men onboard, capsized from the wake of another boat.NSRI Durban launched sea rescue craft and the Police Sea Borderline Control, Police Search and Rescue and the SA Navy were activated.All 4 men were found holding onto the upturned hull of the capsized boat and they were rescued onto a Police boat and brought to shore where they were treated for mild hypothermia and following some brief medical attention they required no further assistance.Their boat was recovered from the water and landed ashore with the assistance of a harbour container crane.IMG-20160426-WA0000TO REPORT A SEA RESCUE EMERGENCY DIAL 112 FROM A CELLPHONE
