This morning we all gathered at the brand new NSRI Kommetjie boathouse to celebrate the official opening. It was a coming together of our crew, our funders, our neighbours, our colleagues in emergency services and the architects and builders. We shared this momentous occasion with the Rolf-Stephan Nussbaum Foundation and Rotary Club of Claremont - who have both been so generous in their support of this project.NSRI CEO, Dr Cleeve Robertson, complimented Station Commander, Ian Klopper, on his tenacity saying that the mark of a true leader is their ability to push through despite the obstacles. It has taken almost two decades to bring this dream into a reality and finally Station 26 has a home.
