Yesterday, Station 19 Richard's Bay, held the official blessing ceremony of their new 4.7m rescue boat 'Grindrod Rescue'Station Commander, Dorian Robertson, explained that the new vessel, sponsored by Grindrod in collaboration with Island View Shipping and the local shipping fraternity, would be used for training and rescues in the surf, on inland waters and rivers. Dave Savides, a proud supporter of Sea Rescue and our local Chaplain, officiated the ceremony while Roelof Camminga from Island View Shipping christened the boat.
