The two sailors from Llama Lo, Jean Sitruk, 65, and Kyle Castelyn, 20, arrived safely at the Table Bay Sea Rescue base in the V&A Waterfront this morning.
The ship which rescued them from the boats tender that they spent 25 hours on, CMA CGM Rossini, dropped anchor in Table Bay and the two men were brought to shore by the Table Bay Sea Rescue boat Spirit of Vodacom.
The catamaran hit a whale about 50 miles off East London which tore a hole in the vessel’s port side causing it to flood and capsize.
