The 20th Cape Rotary Wine Auction, hosted by Rotary Clubs of Newlands and Table Bay, took place last night, Thursday 8 October 2015, in the Ballroom at the Table Bay Hotel.Wines from over 80 of the Cape’s finest estates went under the hammer of Andrew Koch, MD of Claremart, raising R317 000 for Sea Rescue.The 20th Annual Rotary Wine Auction was held to assist Sea Rescue’s Melkbosstrand rescue base to purchase a new 6.5 metre rescue craft, Rotary's Gift, to save lives along their coast.A parallel Jo’burg Rotary Wine Auction will be hosted by the Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon and Sandton early next year.These pictures can be downloaded from Sea Rescue's Flickr page.Going Going ... gone ...
