NSRI mourns the passing of Hein Schipper who, at 104 years of age, passed away on Monday, 31st August. To say that Hein was a stalwart supporter of Sea Rescue is a bit of an understatement. He particularly enjoyed supporting the Rotary Wine Auction and in 2012 was given naming rights on the 6.5 metre rescue craft at Bakoven NSRI. 'Rotarian Schipper' will go on to perform many rescues in Hein's name, his memory lives on.8199894829_61215d77f4_k Hein Schipper and his daughter Chippy Burnett at the launch of Rotarian Schipper 19 November 2012.
