At 09h55, Saturday, 25th July, NSRI Mossel Bay duty crew were activated following reports from Police of a body reported to be floating in the sea off-shore of Quay 4, near to Mossel Bay harbour.NSRI Mossel Bay responded to the scene with NSRI rescue swimmers and the SA Police Services, WC Government Health EMS and ER24 ambulance services responded.On arrival on the scene an NSRI swimmer assisted by a local dive company diver recovered the body of an adult female from the water and paramedics conducted Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), but despite their efforts, the woman was declared deceased on the scene.
