Sea Rescue volunteers are a special group of people. We know that. But when the Simon's Town crew heard that the SPCA were short of dog and cat food they pulled the stops out, and between them and the local medical response company, Cape Medical Response, collected 175 KG’s of much needed dog and cat food.SPCA Wild Life Inspector Gareth Petterson was delighted to pop around to the Sea Rescue base to collect the food from Darren Zimmerman, Station Commander at NSRI Simon's Town and CMR medic.'A big thank you to all those who donated. And to all the other NSRI stations ... we challenge you to assist your local animal rescue services this winter,' said Darren.Gareth receives the food from Darren.
