On Sunday our Durban crew practiced anchor drills, boat handling within the surf, rope work and setting up a tow line. Trainee coxswains worked on deploying crew within the surf and recovering crew from within the surf zone. This training is essential in sharpening the skills of the crew and coxswains, especially in difficult sea conditions. These are the conditions crew normally go to sea in during an actual rescue.Training2 Training21 Training29 Training14
