The Annual Spar St Francis Links Wine Evening has very quickly become the event of the year in St Francis Bay. For the past 4 years, the evening has been in aid of Station 21 St Francis and each year the organisers have outdone themselves selling more tickets, and raising more funds. The first year that it was held, just over 100 tickets were sold. Last year 180 tickets were sold and this year there were 210 people at the event. The Theme this year was ‘Hats & Wigs.’ Everyone volunteers their time on the evening, even the staff at St Francis Links, and the Station 21 crew are the waiters for the evening.Between courses, Jo Brown lead a fantastic auction as well as raffles. Spot prizes and complimentary spa vouchers were handed out.An amazing R131 000.00 was raised and a big thank you to the following who made the evening such a success:Jo Brown - wife of crewman Adam Brown - who has always co-ordinated this event as well as our annual golf day. She is the rock that our station relies on and without her input and passion we would not have the amazing success that we have fund raising.Jeff & Liezel Claus from the St Francis Links – who always go above and beyond with these events from the organising to the special additional prizes & auction items, vouchers and of course the free golf that they offer on the day. Their staff, Eugenie and Chef Brad who pulled the entire evening together from décor to the amazing 3 course dinner.Rieghardt, Joha, Darryl & Spar Tops Teams – who sponsored all the ingredients for the 3 course dinner and were the hosts for the evening. Rieghardt’s dedication to this annual event is incredible.Michael and Vinash at Vinoteque for ALL the wines.Silver Lake Marine, Craig Nel, for sponsoring the auction and Michelle Nel who sourced some amazing prizes.John Cooper and Harcourts for the entertainment and photo booth. All Photos provided by Bev Mortimer from The St. Francis Chronicle.Nsri fundriser at the lInks 025Nsri fundriser at the lInks 036Nsri fundriser at the lInks 028Nsri fundriser at the lInks 005Nsri fundriser at the lInks 039Nsri fundriser at the lInks 065
