NSRI Melkbosstrand launched the sea rescue craft MENS HEALTH RESCUER and QUEENIE PAYNE and dispatched a sea rescue vehicle at 18h26, Monday, 06th April, following numerous eye-witness reports of a man suspected to be in difficulty in the surf, approximately 300 meters off-shore, at Kidds Rock, Kleinbaai, Bloubergstrand.An extensive sea and shore search was carried out but no sign of anyone in any difficulty has been found and no persons have come forward to claim their family member or friend to be missing or overdue.The SA Police Services and the Police Dive Unit were notified and although the extensive sea and shore search has been suspended the situation will continue to be monitored and re-evaluated if any new information comes to light.Anyone with any information pertaining to this incident may call Sea Rescue at 0823803800.File image File imageTO REPORT A SEA RESCUE EMERGENCY DIAL 112 FROM A CELLPHONESMS 32287 with your name and a message of support for our Sea Rescue crew.
