Thursday, 4 December - Bakoven BeachFather Christmas arrived a tad early at Bakoven - but thats Sea Rescue for you. Always quick off the mark. “Faaaaather Chriiiiiiiiistmasssssss!” screamed the young boy on the shore as Father Christmas was delivered safe and sound to Bakoven Beach aboard the rescue boat. It has been a tradition for many years for the residents of Bakoven to host a Christmas party on the beach.Thereare gifts for the local children, boerie rolls on sale and insurmountable joy from the children who get to see Santa before Christmas day.It is a wonderful day and always well attended. This year we were hampered by the strong South Easter but it could not damper the festive spirit of the occasion.HPIM0012
