WaterWise teaching is addictive. Its hard to put into words; but its a wonderful feeling knowing you are touching little lives. The pleasure when 200 kids errupt into gawfaws of laughter in unison…… The pleasure when you can hear a pin drop in the assembly hall as you tell them some serious lifesaving facts… Each age group has its own level of understanding and own responses.
Over the weekend, a little girl came up to me, and she said “Hey, I KNOW you! You are Jacqui from Waterwise”. And then promptly and proudly introduced me to her mum, who had already heard of the Waterwise lessons from her daughter.
At Clayton Primary the children loved the class and were very responsive. Their librarian said that she has never, ever seen the kids so well behaved and engaged. What I also enjoy, is that the teachers are very enthusiasti, and always come to say they have learnt a lot themselves.
