Deon Langenhoven, NSRI Hermanus deputy station commander, said: 'At 11h00 NSRI Hermanus crew were activated following a request for assistance from the owner of the MIROSHGE charter boat who reported that he was assisting the whale watching boat WHALE CRUISER which had suffered mechanical problems while on a whale watching charter with passengers.'No one was in any danger at the time but the MIROSHGE skipper simply requested NSRI to be on hand for safety and to assist to dock the whale charter boat once she was towed into Hermanus Harbour by MIROSHGE.'We launched our sea rescue craft SOUTH STAR and stood by on the scene while MIROSHGE towed the whale watching boat into the harbour and then we assisted to berth her and once safely berthed no further assistance was required.'s SOUTH STAR and stood by on the scene while MIROSHGE towed the whale watching boat.
