The RCB duo - Ryan Calder (guitar & vocals) and Jon Calder (piano & vocals) - performed at a special Heritage Day concert this evening in aid of NSRI.September 24 marks the third anniversary of the disappearance of RCB friend Mndeni Hlatswayo from the rocks at Llandudno. One minute he was there – enjoying the sun and the crashing surf on the rocks on the point at Llandudno Beach, the next he was gone, lost to the sea and never found. Jon was with Mndeni that day.Jon and Ryan Calder will be in Cape Town as part of a national tour in preparation for the launch of the band's anticipated new album. The show will feature some old songs, as well as a sneak preview of the new ones.The tribute evening, held at Pinelands Presbyterian Church, by past fellow UCT students for their late friend Mndeni Hlatswayo, tragically lost off the rocks at Llandudno 3 years ago. Brothers Ryan and Jon Calder, of the RCB duo, entertained the appreciative crowd with their own acoustic and vocal compositions.
