'n Paar jaar gelede het een van die leerders van Sandhills Primere skool, in 'n rivier naby die skool verdrink. Juffrou Hendricks, een van die onderwyseresse het vertel hoe tragies en hartseer dit vir die kinders was. 'Gelukkig is daar nou 'n draad langs die rivier - maar dit skrik nie altyd die kinders af nie' het sy verder genoem. WaterWise se les-inhoud het baie goed by 'Veiligheid' aangepas, wat die vorige week in die klas behandel is.
