At 14h36 on Wednesday the 7th of August NSRI Durban duty crew were activated by the Transnet National Ports Authority following a request for assistance from the 10 meter charter ski-boat NEPTUNE reporting to be 17 nautical miles off Durban with motor failure to both motors. There were 5 people onboard.Clifford Ireland, NSRI Durban station commander, said: 'Our duty crew launched MEGAN II and rendezvoused with the boat.'NSRI rescue swimmer Sean Serfontein was transferred onboard the casualty boat where he attempted to repair the motors but they could not be repaired at sea.'A tow-line was rigged and NSRI are towing the casualty boat to Durban's Port and are expected in at around 19h30.'The casualty boats motors will be repaired by the owners.'Megan II Megan II
