Two children drown near Dobsonville:

Kenneth Gagela, our WaterWise Instructor in Soweto, was devastated to hear that two children drowned while playing close to their homes at Doornkop next to Dobsonville .Their game involved chasing each other and one of the six boys, who was only seven years old, lost his footing and fell into a water filled ditch. The 11 year old rushed in to try and save his young friend and he too drowned . The other then went for help.But it was too late. The body of the first child was found at 6pm and the second one @ 6:45 .This tragic story happens too often and Kenneth will track down the school that the children attended to present our water safety lesson at.WaterWise is proudly sponsored by TNPA.
