Conceptualised by Ogilvy, Cape Town, and directed by Velocity’s Tristyn von Berg, NSRI’s ‘Sea Fever’ is a haunting and beautiful ode to our love of the Sea. Set to a reading of John Masefield’s 1901 poem ‘Sea Fever’, the ad explores the loving, complex and, at times, even religious relationship that South Africans have with the sea. The ad was shot at various locations in the Western Cape and KwaZulu Natal. It aims to act as a powerful and inspiring reminder that the NSRI volunteers are always on duty.
Everybody who worked on the production did so at no charge.
