At 17h00 on Sunday the 19th of May Hermanus duty crew were called out to help Police recover an unidentified body found floating in the Fisherhaven Lagoon near Hermanus.The body had been discovered by an off duty Policeman who had raised the alarm.NSRI Hermanus volunteers towed LE JENMAR II which was launched on scene after Police had completed forensic investigations and forensic photographs on the scene. The body of an unidentified man was recovered and brought to shore where it was handed into the care of the Forensic Pathology Services.It is unknown the length of time that the body had been in the water and the circumstances that led to the body being in the water are unknown.Police have opened an inquest docket.hermsnus
