At 17h20 on Wednesday the 10th of April the Agulhas volunteer duty crew were called out to assist a chokka fisherman suffering a suspected stroke onboard the chokka fishing boat ELBY, 12 nautical miles south of Struisbaai at fishing grounds called the 12 Mile Bank.Danie Viljoen, NSRI Agulhas deputy station commander, said: 'Our duty crew launched VODACOM RESCUER VII and on arrival on-scene found the 51 year old man in a stable condition suffering from a suspected stroke.'Medical treatment was provided by NSRI medics. The man was transferred onto our sea rescue boat and brought to the Struisbaai harbour where WC Government Health EMS paramedics took over care of the patient. He was transported to hospital in Bredasdorp by EMS ambulance.VODACOM RESCUER VII VODACOM RESCUER VII
