At 13h08 on Thursday the 18th of April NSRI Simonstown duty crew were called out to assist the quota crayfish boat DABULA MANZI reporting total loss of steering from steering mechanical failure.Darren Zimmerman, NSRI Simonstown station commander, said: 'There were a crew of 5 local fishermen onboard. Our crew launched the SPIRIT OF SAFMARINE III and responded.'On arrival on-scene, 2 nautical miles off Cape Point, we rigged a tow-line from our sea rescue craft to the casualty craft and towed the fishing boat to her home port at Kalk Bay.'Spirit picture by Kevin Swart Spirit of Safmarine III.
