Budget speech brings hope for charities

In the recent budget speech, two proposed changes could be good news for NSRI :
  • Allowing donors to roll over donations into subsequent tax years, means that our generous donors who make large donations will still benefit from tax relief, even if they exceed the current limit of 10% of the donor’s taxable income;
  • Longterm sustainability has always been a great concern, so a change in the percentage of funds required to be distributed by Public Benefit Organisations should ease this pressure and enable us to build reserves for the future.
