Kite surfer assisted:At 17h10, NSRI Yzerfontein volunteers were called out following reports of a kite-surfer in difficulty off Strandkombuis, two kilometers from Yzerfontein.Rudi Rodgers, NSRI Yzerfontein station commander, said that our NSRI duty crew launched SPIRIT OF IFFLEY and our NSRI rescue vehicle responded.On arrival we found an Australian kite-surfer, Benn Twyman, in his early 30's, and now living in Bloubergstrand, had managed to reach the shore and was walking along the beach towards Yzerfontein. His kite and board had been recovered.His friend had driven to near to the site to retrieve him.He was not injured and was brought to Yzerfontein.34 yzerfontein Picture: / Sea Rescue
