Life Boat Circle Champagne Breakfast:

Janet Burgess held the annual KZN Life Boat Circle Champagne Breakfast at Blue Zoo Restaurant in Mitchell Park on Monday 3 rd December. It was a huge success and, by all the thank you messages, it was greatly enjoyed by all who attended.Kelvin Thomas who was one of the pioneers of the Richards Bay Base and ex Stat Com there, introduced the speaker, Captain Roy Martin. He held the audience captivated with his talk on 'Piracy on the seas,' with a relevant slide show. It is a huge problem for ships, large and small, to contend with.Breakfast was delicious and was preceded by champagne and orange and mini muffins on the balcony. Dave James, architect of the Durban Base, ex Director and ex Stat Com spoke on the LBC and Bequesting and new Bequest Certificates were presented to new bequestors.Lucky draws followed ... with much laughter and many prizes were handed out. It was a most enjoyable morning!
