At 14h10 (Friday, 02nd November) NSRI Knysna crew and SA police services responded to reports of a body witnessed floating in a rock pool near to the Knysna Heads.A Police Dive Unit was activated to recover the adult male, but with the incoming tide raising fears that the body may be washed out to sea Police requested that the NSRI rescue team recover the body without delay.The body was recovered by the NSRI and has been handed into the care of the Forensic Pathology Services.Police have opened formal investigations to identify the body and there appears to be no report of any person missing or overdue and no initial indication of what or how the body came to be there related to this incident.The matter is in the hands of the Police.
