Richards Bay volunteers attended the annual surf ski race known as The Mouth to Mouth... from Richards Bay to Mtunzini..... Dorian Robertson (Class1 Coxwain) writes about the weekends events:A long day was had on Saturday for the crew's of all rescue craft and mobile as we stood by for the Mouth to Mouth Surf Ski Race. Apart from sitting on the water and watching over the paddlers, training was also thrown in the mix with man overboard drills, craft knowledge and towing right at the end of the day. One paddler required assistance in which he enjoyed the ride on Spirit of Richards Bay all the way to the finish. It was a bumpy 20 mile haul back to base for both boats against a 15 knot head wind. All good fun!Photos by Norman Rautenbach Rotary Ann skippered by Jacques Kruger with crewman Riaan vd
