Bruce Bodmer and Michelle Bridgens from NSRI Hout Bay participated in an exercise at the Cape Town Aquarium to work out the best methods of extracting a person from their display tank should it be necessary. The idea was to try Sea Rescue’s US Coast Guard patient stretcher to see how well it would work in the tank ... and it worked ... very well!It was so successful that the Aquarium is going to acquire their own stretcher. Thanks to Bruce and Michelle for giving up their time to help.
