Do it now or diarise it for Mandela Day* on 18^th JulyThis is a special opportunity for fishermen, fans of the West Coast and supporters of Sea Rescue to get involved and make a difference to those who use the sea off the West Coast and specifically Yzerfontein.NSRI Yzerfontein is one of our newer rescue stations and has chalked up some impressive rescues. They have been very fortunate so far with sponsored assets and volunteers committed to saving lives. But, they do not have a boathouse. At this stage our volunteers are operating out of containers and all our rescue craft are exposed to the elements.We have been trying for almost four years now to build a boathouse, and after many meetings with the municipality and other stakeholders, we are now at the stage for public comment. This runs from 20 June to 20 July.This is your opportunity to voice your support for the building of our new Sea Rescue boathouse.
