A WaterWise Academy workshop was organised by Sea Rescue volunteers from the Shelly Beach NSRI station at the Port Shepstone Islamic School, and was attended by about 300 learners from Grades 1 to 12 as well as their teachers.The children were given a 45 minute presentation based on WaterWise Academy’s teaching principals and a flip-chart was used to illustrate the PLAN, HHH and emergency telephone number 10177.Sea Rescue volunteer crew from Station 20 who did the teaching were Barry Mollett and Cathy and John Rolt. The workshop was well received, and the feedback from the principal and the teaching staff was great.It was such a success that it will become an annual event!
