Table Bay volunteers were put on alert on Sunday for the yacht Sunny 64 (a 50ft Bavaria) which had dirty fuel and would be unable to use her engines to enter the port, thus needing a tow.MRCC notified Table Bay station commander Paula Leech on Monday morning of the yachts position and estimated time of arrival. At 10:44 MRCC telephoned to say that the yacht was now 7NM West of Green Point light and holding.The Table Bay duty crew were called out at 10:47 and Spirit of Vodacom was launched at 11:35. The yacht was under sail and was asked to follow the rescue boat into port. In front of Port Control she was asked to drop sails where Spirit of Vodacom rafted alongside and assisted her into the V&A Waterfront to Quay 6 in front of the Table Bay Hotel.
