Mr Anton Bredell, Minister of Local Government Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, today handed over cheques for R315 000.00 each to Sea Rescue and Lifesaving SA.The ceremony took place at Sea Rescues Melkbosstrand station and included the SAPS Dive Unit, The Red Cross Air Mercy service, METRO Rescue and the province’s Disaster Management.After the official speeches, cheque hand-overs and awards guests were treated to a rescue demonstration.Pictures can be downloaded from Sea Rescue's Flickr page.
