Last night was the official retirement party for our Operations Director Allan Cramb. The Cape Town Rifles ( Dukes) mess at the Castle was a great place to celebrate Allan’s contribution to Sea Rescue and to wish him well in his retirement.Allan attended the founding meeting of Station 2 Bakoven in August 1967 and joined the station two months later at the age of 16. He was made a coxswain in 1972 and station commander in 1982, a position that he held for 12 years.Allan has received numerous awards including Meritorious service, Directors Certificate of Thanks and the Perry Ment award as well as his 40 years service award.He retires with 44 years of service to Sea Rescue under his belt. Thank you Allan and we hope that you have a great retirement!













Earlier in the week a small gathering for Region 1 and 2 Station commanders to say cheers to Allan was held at the Cape Town Club.
