Simonstown: Monday 20 June.Simon's Town volunteers launched their 5.5 metre Eddie Beaumont II to help paramedics who were treating a 60 year old man who had a heart attack in the relatively inaccessible Smitswinkel Bay. They had stabilized the man and needed Sea Rescue to take him to Millers Point as it would have been very difficult to carry the stretcher up the narrow steep path which is the only access point to the houses - other than by sea.
