Stn 19, Richards Bay has had an awesome weekend with the naval frigate SAS Isandlwana. On Saturday the crew had a full tour of the ship, inside and out.Crew members had decided that they would kit out in official NSRI uniforms and join the public for the open day tour of the vessel. They were treated as special guests when the uniforms were spotted, ushered to another entrance and given a guided tour by Warrant Officer Magee. Nothing was spared from the bridge to the engine room. The vessel is in immaculate condition with the highest standard of cleanliness in all areas.On Sunday they went to sea on the Frigate and had a full tour of the ship while at sea. They were also served lunch!Back at base , all three rescue craft were launched and the ship was escorted out of port on their way back to Simonstown.
