Dick Manten, station commander of the Vaal Dam base, has just taken delivery of a wonderful donation of Burnshield packs and sprays that RIGA Rescue donated to NSRI Station 22.Burnshield is invaluable in the treatment of burns. Graham Holmquist of LEVTRADE INTERNATIONAL (PTY) LTD was responsible for the donation. We are extremely grateful for your kind and thoughtful gesture. First aid equipment is always desperately needed. There have been quite a few occasions on the Vaal dam in the past where people have been severely burnt while on their boats and as we are quite a way from the nearest hospital, the Burnshield packs will make a big difference in the treatment of these individuals.
