Rescue boats from Table Bay and Bakoven went out to Robben Island during their routine exercises over the weekend and conducted searches for 23 year old Laban Van Den Heuver who went missing while diving on Monday.The boats started west of Whale Rock and proceeded up the western side of the island. Spirit of Vodacom searched from 100m off the break while Rotary Endeavor searched within 50m of the break on Saturday. Spirit of Rotary Table Bay did a sweep around the entire island on Sunday morning. Sea conditions were perfect but no trace of the young diver was found.
