Chris Darge, long time crewman and ex-station commander at Table Bay base passed away during the night at Riverside Place retirement village.Christopher Robert Darge joined Sea Rescue on the 20th February 1984 and was station commander from Sept. 1994 to 1998.“ Chris was a man’s man”, says fellow crewman Phil Ress.“He was a peoples person. Dynamic. And a good leader.”Chris was an accountant at Unicorn shipping before his retirement. He leaves an ex-wife and two boys.We will publish the memorial arrangements here when they are announced.
