Sea Rescue – Port Alfred – 05 April, 2011: Body of man discovered on beach:At 10h28 NSRI Port Alfred were called out following reports of a body found lying on the beach 6 kilometers East of Port Alfred near the Rufanes River.Our NSRI volunteers responded by road accompanied by a local doctor and the SA Police Services were called.On arrival a body of an unidentified adult man was found lying on the on the surf edge. He was declared dead by the doctor.Police have opened an inquest docket and anyone with information should call the Port Alfred Police Station or 10111.The mans clothes were found lying neatly packed on the beach near to where the body was found.The cause of death will be determined by an autopsy and the body has been handed into the care of the Forensic Pathology Services.
