Sea Rescue – St Francis Bay – Saturday, 05th March, 2011. Fisherman casualty evacuated off Chokka fishing boat:NSRI St Francis Bay volunteers were activated at 06:55 following a request for medical assistance from the Chokka fishing boat Etosha reporting a crewman onboard suffering abdominal pain.The duty crew launched their sea rescue craft, Spirit of St Francis II, to rendezvous with the fishing boat and on arrival on-scene the patient, a 40 year old local man, was transferred onto our rescue craft.He was taken to the rescue base and handed into the care of Netcare 911 paramedics and transported to hospital.
