NSRI Station 3 (Table Bay) was called by V&A Security following reports of a young male who had allegedly jumped off the Bascule Bridge in the Waterfront.Security had thrown him a life line and two members of the public had jumped in to try and assist him but he had refused any help and fought them off.Two NSRI rescue swimmers searched the area around where he disappeared until the Police divers arrived on scene. Sadly the man is presumed drowned.
